Assistant Programmer

We’re looking for a Digital Store Programming Admin Assistant to join us here at QVC UK! Based in our Media and Commerce offices, Chiswick Park. This is a key position at QVC – a business that is changing the way the World shops!

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the Digital Store Programming team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Creating content briefs as directed by the Digital Store Programmer for the Homepage and APP programming and track progress of the request

  • Control the QA process for the homepage and APP
  • Running reporting for homepage and APP performance daily on preset reporting tools
  • Daily check of the homepage and APP to ensure publishing reflects the expected schedule
  • Execute actions for daily trade requests for changes to the homepage or app as directed by Digital Programmer
  • Update schedule based on change requests from the Digital Store Programmer or Digital Store Traders
  • Communicate digital activity schedule weekly to designated distribution group pulling in relevant information from Performance Marketing and Social
  • Compile weekly homepage and promotional highlights schedule from the planning defined by the Digital Store Programmer
  • Communicate by email schedule changes (happening within 3 months) to designated distribution group
  • Print & distribute digital activity schedule weekly to designated set of recipients
  • Any additional ad hoc duties or projects as directed
What we are looking for:
  • Solid administration experience, particularly in a Digital Ecommerce or Retail environment.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively, is flexible in approach, work with minimum supervision and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good level of computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills – both written and verbal skills need to be strong
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong numerical skills, accuracy and attention to detail, that will be tested during recruitment process
  • Teamwork – A team player, with the ability to have a positive impact on the effectiveness of the team and be supportive of colleagues
  • Accountability – A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Change Orientation – The ability to adapt to a fast paced and ‘live’ commercial environment
